International Biology Olympiad kicks off in Iran
Date /On 15 July 2018, the 29th International Biology Olympiad will open in Tehran (Islamic Republic of Iran). In general, teams from 70 countries will attend this event.
Four people can represent the country according to the rules of the Olympiad. This year Russian team includes future first-year students of the Faculty of Biology of Moscow State University: Daniel Afonin (Novosibirsk), Azat Garaev (AESC MSU leaver), Artem Pustovit (MSU Gymnasium leaver) and Irina Yarutich (Moscow). The guys prepared for the Olympiad at MSU before going to Iran. They got ready for the theoretical and practical tour in botany, zoology, biochemistry, molecular biology, ecology and other biological disciplines under the leadership of Biochemistry Department Professor Alexander M. Rubtsov, Associate Professor of Mycology and Algology Galina A. Belyakova and Research associate of Immunology Department Eugene S. Shilov.
