On 6 June 2018, Chinese team, consisting of MSU students, took part in the International tournament on eSports Ugra Open (in DOTA 2 discipline) at the invitation of Ambassador of the Republic of Benin in the Russian Federation Gabriel Kochofa. This event was held in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug within the framework of the X IT Forum with the participation of the BRICS and SCO countries. The games were held in two days. Unfortunately, our team wasn’t able go to the ‘ship and remained in the top of ten teams notwithstanding the high level of the game. But despite the failure, this tournament is a good and rewarding experience for the team. In the future, we hope to return and show opponents how eSports develops at Moscow State University. MSU team in DOTA 2 discipline consisted of: Qin Wei — Team Captain, a first-year postgraduate student of the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics; Andrey Kim — Group Coordinator, 4th year of the bachelor's degree of the Faculty of Physics; Wu Zhenin — 2nd year of the bachelor's degree of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Area Studies; Wang Yujing — a first-year postgraduate student of the Higher School of Translation and Interpretation (Faculty); Yao Li — a second-year student of the Higher School of Translation and Interpretation (Faculty).
