International Folk Song Ensemble of Moscow State University Korobeyniki


The Folk Song Ensemble Korobeyniki was created on February 21, 2019, on International Mother Language Day. Students from different faculties who came from different countries and regions of Russia are engaged in the team. All of them are united by one thing: interest in the folk culture of Russia, the desire to be friends and perform on stage. The Korobeyniki ensemble takes part in many major university and Moscow events - the award ceremony of honour students, the Golden Autumn Festival, held on Red Square, the Gala concert of the All-Russian Festival of Friendship of the Peoples of Russia, etc.
The ensemble is attended by students and undergraduates from China, Japan, Switzerland, Germany and various parts of Russia (Adygea, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Altai).
The artistic director of the ensemble is Katarina Yurovskaya, a student of the Higher school of Television of Moscow State University.

Theater Studio of the Faculty of Geography


It has been in existence since 1968. From the moment of its formation to the present time, the head of the Studio is an employee of the Department of Oceanology Natalia Perlova. Studiytsy stage plays of domestic and foreign classics, which are performed in the Great hall of the Moscow State University several times a year.
Classes are held 2-3 times a week in the classrooms of the Faculty of Geography.

Theater Studio Law of genre
The studio was revived in a new composition in 2017. The studio participants stage performances with completely different themes - from humorous and fun to serious and military-patriotic. Studios participate in many events of the Faculty of Law and Moscow Universityю. Also they are the organizers of some cultural events at Moscow State University.

Folklore and Ethnographic Theater BRATINA

It was established in 1981. Artistic Director is associate Professor of the Department of Russian oral folk art of the faculty of Philology Anna Ivanova. The theater's activities are organized in several directions:
- summer expeditions (mastering dialects and folk crafts, collecting folklore and ethnographic material and props for future performances);
- research (articles and research papers based on the collected material);
- concerts and educational events (numerous performances of the theater, timed to various holidays – Winter Christmas time in Vyatka, Vyatka wedding, Pushkin and folklore, Russian year: Maslenitsa, etc.).
Rehearsals are held twice a week at the Faculty of Philology of Moscow State University (1 building of Humanities faculties).

Dance group Silhouette


The dance group Silhouette of Moscow State University was established in 2014 by Nina Okhotina, a graduate of the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics. Currently, the team unites students at Moscow State University who want to learn how to dance in various styles (modern choreography, classical dance, hip-hop, ethnic stylization, pop dances, and others). Silhouette performs with vivid dance at choreographic competitions and festivals, as well as decorates the festive events of Moscow University.

Every year, the Silhouette group arranges a solo concert, where it shows the most spectacular dance performances and new numbers!

Indian Dance Studio Saraswati


Indian dance studio Saraswati was established in 1985. The team conducts active concert activities, takes part in numerous celebrations, festivals, conferences at the invitation of Russian and Indian organizations in Moscow and other cities. The team is actively working with students of Moscow State University, introduces its participants to the basics of Indian classical dance and music, folk dances of India, traditions and customs of this country. For many years, the ensemble has been conducting concert and lecture programs. These programs are single productions, performances, in the fabric of which legends, dances, images and stories are woven.
Every year, the team takes part and is the winner of many dance competitions, including Festos, Indian dance competitions organized by Association of Indian Dance Performers and the Cultural Center of the Embassy of India in Russia.
